Good morning!
Your daily rundown of what's going on with the Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins and Revolution, and what's about to happen, for BSJ members only ...
• The Dead Sox will try, maybe, to win a game as they look to avoid their 10th-straight loss in the finale against the Phillies in a 1:30 p.m. start
• Michael Chavis struck out five times last night, and Ron Roenicke is adjusting to the unwritten rules of baseball.
• Who the frig cares if Fernando Tatis swings 3-0?! No lead is safe in today's game, and how about pitchers THROW MORE STRIKES AND DON'T GO 3-0. I'm a baseball lifer, and I had never heard of that one.
• Bruins are next up with a 4 p.m. puck drop ... we all know the Hurricanes are toast after that third period the other night. Just capitulate.
• I'm all on board the Cliffy Hockey train.
• And the Celtics will be last up as they try to take a 2-0 lead on the Sixers without Gordon Hayward. Well, they have plenty of experience playing without so this shouldn't be any different.
• Others will say Jarrett Stidham had a bad day due to three "interceptions." The way I saw it, he had the best day. Again.
• The defense's front seven got its butt handed to them by the offense in the red zone. Yup, that's a concern.
