BSJ Daily Briefing 08.18.20: Bruins awake from hibernation, maul Hurricanes; Celtics win; Patriots back taken at BSJ Headquarters (Regular Features)

Good morning!

Your daily rundown of what's going on with the Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins and Revolution, and what's about to happen, for BSJ members only  ...

• Well, now. That was the kind of Boston Sports Day that made the hell of March-May (well, some of it) kind of worth it.
• First you had the Patriots back on the practice field in pads, and Bill Belichick screaming at people. Oh, the sweet sounds.
Then you had the Celtics having a mostly easy time with the Sixers ... got a little tense there in spots, but the Celtics should have won in a blowout. Jaylen Brown is looking good.
• Then you had the Bruins sleepwalk through the first two periods. You figured, "Typical series stuff ... they're easing up, ahead 2-1, it will be a best of 3 and they'll win."
And then Jake DeBrusk made an unbelievable hustle play, and Charlie McAvoy laid a hit that you could feel through the television and sent Belichick scrambling for the phone ... and the Bruins scored 4 straight to go up 3-1 in the series.
• Outside of the Dead Sox, it was a phenomenal sports day.
