PREGAME NOTES:

For the third straight game, the Bruins are going to be without their top scorer in David Pastrnak — with Bruce Cassidy noting on Monday morning that the B’s top right wing is “not available” for Game 4 of Boston’s first-round series against the Hurricanes. Pastrnak participated in the morning skate Monday but was an extra skater during line rushes.

With Pastrnak out, Anders Bjork will get the call once again on the Bergeron line, while the rest of Boston’s lineup will remain the same from Saturday’s Game 3 win — with Connor Clifton, Par Lindholm and Jack Studnicka all back in the lineup. 

The Hurricanes will be without Andrei Svechnikov for Game 4 and likely the foreseeable future, as the Russian winger went down with an ugly knee injury in the third period of Saturday’s game. 

Goalie Jaroslav Halak will start his second straight game for the Bruins, while Carolina has yet to name a starter between Petr Mrazek and James Reimer.
