• Well, that wasn't any fun. We get all geared up all day, (maybe, ahem) have a beer or two, and then the NHL totally screws the pooch and is forced to postpone the Bruins until this morning because the Jackets-Lightning went 5 OTs.
• So let me get this straight, no one from the NHL asked the question ... what do we do if someone plays all night (because it does happen in the playoffs at some point)?! At both Edmonton and Toronto, there should be a backup rink in case something like this happens. The Marlies' arena, the old grand dame known as The Colesium, is literally right down the street — built in 1920 with brick walls, it's really something to see if you're in Toronto. They should have TV cameras and locker rooms set up in case of emergency.
• Let's try this again, huh?
• I really do not like having two back-to-backs now in this series for the Bruins, not so much because Tuukka Rask can't play back-to-backs (he can't, but Jaro Halak is as good as anybody Carolina has), but because they already look old. Bruins better build up a little cushion before Games 5-6.
• Jayson Tatum is really elevating his game. I know local fans think he's elite, but he's going to need to show it in the postseason in front of the world.
• The Red Sox are about to really sink. They were bombed last night, and now:
