Good morning!
Your daily rundown of what's going on with the Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins and Revolution, and what's about to happen, for BSJ members only ...
• The Bruins play playoff hockey tonight!
• After some seriously dark days in March, April and May, we finally get treated to our first real postseason experience in major North American sports (sorry, MLS) when the Bruins drop the puck at 8 p.m. against the Hurricanes (and there are two more series before Boston plays!). That's what I'm talking about.
• Conor will continue breaking it down throughout the day, but here's my pick ... I think the Bruins look really bad in one of the first two games (maybe both), but kick it in gear and win in seven games.
• The Patriots added former Pro Bowl RB Lamar Miller to the roster. He's coming off ACL surgery, but this is a major name and talent when right (hmm, sounds like a certain QB). The move can easily be explained away as a depth move, but I think there's more at play.
• Julian Edelman set the right tone for the offense in his first media appearance since You-Know-Who left town.
• Nothing gets Celtics fans more excited than talking about potential lottery picks...
• The Red Sox look FOUR HOURS AND TWENTY FOUR MINUTES to lose to the Rays last night. Longest Fenway game since 2017. Freaking brilliant. This game, that I absolutely love, is killing me. I think my Dad was the only one watching at 11:54 p.m.
