- The Bruins will look to make it five wins in a row and 11 victories in their last 12 contests when they play the Calgary Flames at Scotiabank Saddledome on Friday. Calgary is 4-2-0 in its past six games and is tied for the second wild-card in the Western Conference with the Arizona Coyotes.
- Jaroslav Halak will get the start in net for Boston, while the lone change up front will be Anton Blidh slotting into the fourth line in place of Joakim Nordstrom.
- The Bruins acquired forward Ondrej Kase from the Anaheim Ducks for forward David Backes, defenseman prospect Axel Andersson and a first-round pick in the 2020 NHL Draft on Friday.
