Good afternoon!
A few random thoughts while I wonder when the kids' vacations and illnesses lined up...
- Veteran Panthers TE Greg Olsen signed a one-year, $5.5-million guaranteed contract with the Seahawks. Didn't appear the Patriots were involved in the talks, and I didn't expect them to be.
- Olsen hasn't played a full 16 games since 2016. While he's still a reliable target, he's yards per target have gone every year since '15. The Patriots need to be in the market for better.
- I took a look at the options ... if Hunter Henry and Austin Hooper are retained by their former teams, free agency looks really dicey. There are a couple of possible trades in there. That route and the draft may be the best bet.
- Celtics are still a few days away from their return, but B-Robb addressed the biggest questions facing them.
- Seems like every other NHL team is making deals except the Bruins ... will they do anything? Chris Kreider might be really expensive for a possible rental.
- The Bruins play a hockey game tonight!
- Chaim Bloom is making his imprint on the Sox if you look closely enough.
