PREGAME NOTES:

  • With their lead in the Atlantic Division now down to just one point, the Bruins will look to build some breathing room for themselves when they host the Habs on Wednesday night. Despite falling to the cellar-dwelling Red Wings on Sunday, the Bruins are 6-1-0 in their past seven games and 10-3-1 in their past 14.

  • Once plummeting down the standings, the Canadiens are heating up — with the Habs posting a record of 9-4-0 in their past 13 games. Montreal has won four straight games away from the Bell Centre.

  • A few changes up front for the Bruins tonight, as Joakim Nordstrom will return to the lineup after missing the previous four games due to a medical condition. Danton Heinen will remain on the Coyle line, while John Moore remains on the third D pairing next to Matt Grzelcyk. Tuukka Rask will get the start in net.
