A few random thoughts while I wonder why Brad Penny didn't get more HOF consideration...
- After compiling votes sent by carrier pigeons and tabulating them on an abacus, the BBWAA announced that only Derek Jeter and Larry Walker were selected for the Hall of Fame.
- Seems like Curt Schilling is likely going to get in next year. I'm kind of indifferent about it. Great money pitcher, but so were a lot of other guys who aren't in. The steroids guys are inching closer but perhaps not close enough.
- Another good Bruins game last night, and they actually won this one. Liked some of the moves Bruce Cassidy made to inject some energy.
- Conor takes a look at some of those changes and how those panned out.
- I was on with Felger & Mazz yesterday and there was some actual real football discussion about Tom Brady's best fits and the Super Bowl matchup.
- Good look at the fate of the Memphis pick for the Celtics. Might be time to deal it.
- Coincidentally, the C's host Memphis tonight at the Garden.
- I think we knew Devin McCourty wasn't going to retire after the playoff loss when he said, "I definitely see me playing football next year ... I definitely plan to be playing."
- Lot of local college hoops on tonight, if that's your thing.
