PREGAME NOTES:

  • After a miserable loss to the Flyers on Monday night, Boston will look to turn the page when it takes on a stingy Blue Jackets club. Tuukka Rask will get the start in net for Boston, while Steven Kampfer will slot in on the blue line in place of Matt Grzelcyk. Bruce Cassidy said that the move is not injury related with Grzelcyk, who only logged 1:27 of ice time in Saturday’s win over the Islanders.

  • “No, he didn't play well enough, so the other guy's gonna go in," Cassidy said of Grzelcyk. "When he gets back in there, hopefully he's better."

  • The Blue Jackets might still be slammed with the injury bug, but Columbus has continued to pile on points as of late. They are 11-2-4 in their past 17 games, including 3-1-0 on their most recent road trip.

  • "They play hard. They're obviously well-coached, well-structured," Sean Kuraly said. "Up and down their lineup they play hard. I think ice will be at a premium out there. Sometimes that can bring out the best in this group. We're competitive and we like those games where we're in the trenches. Not to mention, there's also a lot of talent in there."
