- A flu bug is continuing to make its way through the Bruins roster, as Torey Krug missed Thursday’s morning skate because of illness. He hasn’t been ruled out for tonight’s game, with the defenseman tabbed as a game-time decision. If he can’t play, Steven Kampfer will replace him in the lineup.
- Jaroslav Halak will get the start in net, while David Backes will replace Brett Ritchie on the third line. Joakim Nordstrom, who missed Tuesday’s win over Nashville due to illness, will return to the lineup and skate on the fourth line.
- While the Bruins might be rested, the Jets are coming off of a hard-fought shootout win over the Maple Leafs on Wednesday night. Winnipeg will close out its four-game road trip with tonight’s matchup. So far, they have captured at least a point (2-0-1) in every game on the trip.
- Winnipeg is 14-2-4 in one-goal games this season, which is third in the NHL. The Jets are 16-0-0 this season when leading after the second period — they are the only team in the NHL this season to have a perfect record when leading after two periods.
