- The Bruins will look to snap their three-game losing skid on Tuesday when they head down to Nashville to take on the Predators. The Bruins, who are 4-5-6 in their last 15 games, will slot up Anders Bjork on the second line.
- Joakim Nordstrom did not make the trip down to Nashville due to an illness that is still making its way through the locker room, while Brett Ritchie will play on the third line with Charlie Coyle and Danton Heinen. Tuukka Rask will get the start in net for Boston, with the B’s netminder 4-1-2 with a 2.30 goals-against average and .919 save percentage in nine games against the Predators.
- David Pastrnak and Roman Josi both boast the longest current point streak in the NHL at 10 games. Pastrnak has tallied 15 points (five goals, 10 assists) during that stretch.
- The underachieving Predators will get a new look behind the bench on Tuesday, as John Hynes will coach his first game as the team’s new bench boss. Hynes, who was named head coach on Tuesday morning after the Predators fired coach Peter Laviolette and associate coach Kevin McCarthy on Monday, was 9-13-4 with the New Jersey Devils this season before he was fired on Dec. 3.
