Good morning!
- The wildcard weekend playoff schedule is set and the Pats will be dealing with a quick turnaround, hosting the Titans in a 8:15 p.m. start on Saturday night with the Bills-Texans getting the late afternoon slot.
- Bedard has been touting the Titans as the worst potential matchup for the Pats this weekend so a disastrous Sunday got even worse after Tennessee took care of business against Houston to clinch the No. 6 spot.
- Greg has a great look at the defensive issues the Pats dealt on Sunday this morning but I can't help but keep thinking about the Pats' lack of aggression at the end of the first half. The Pats offense had scored on two consecutive possessions despite an ugly start to the game against Miami when they got the ball back in the final two minutes. Belichick sending the message to Tom Brady and his offense there that he didn't trust them to do something productive was jarring and obviously proved to be detrimental in the three-point loss. If he doesn't trust them to make something happen in that spot against one of the worst defenses in the league, what's going to happen against the Titans?
- Nice win for the Bruins at home with Bruce Cassidy pushing the right buttons with Jake DeBrusk.
- Celtics back in action practicing today in Brighton before heading down to Charlotte for a New Year's eve matinee.
