- Tuesday will mark the start of a four-game homestand for the Bruins, which will carry all the way to the Christmas break. The Bruins did not skate at Warrior Ice Arena this morning, but Bruce Cassidy noted just ahead of puck drop that the lineup will primarily remain the same from Saturday's win over Florida. The lone change? Tuukka Rask will start in net. Cassidy added that Rask will start in three of four games during this homestand.
- While the Kings currently sit at the bottom of the Western Conference, they are in the midst of a four-game point streak, including three victories over the Rangers, Ducks, and Red Wings. Not the cream of the crop in the league, but worth taking note of.
- Special teams have often done the Kings in this season, with the club ranking 30th overall in power-play success rate at 12.4%, while its penalty kill is also ranked 30th with a success rate of 74.1%.
