PREGAME NOTES:
- The Bruins, looking for their ninth win in a row, will once again be without Patrice Bergeron, who is set to miss his sixth game in a row due to a nagging lower-body injury. With Bergeron still out, the Bruins will once again shuffle up their top six, with David Pastrnak and Brad Marchand skating on separate lines.
- John Moore will make his season debut after missing the first 28 games of the year while recovering from offseason shoulder surgery. He will replace Connor Clifton in the lineup and skate next to Matt Grzelcyk.
- The Blackhawks still have plenty of skill up front, but this roster continues to be plagued by a woeful, aging defense. So far this year, Chicago ranks last in the NHL in terms of preventing shots on goal — relinquishing an average of 35.7 shots per game. The ‘Hawks power play has also stalled as of late, with the club 27th in the NHL with a 13.4% success rate on the man advantage.
