Good morning!
A few random thoughts while I wonder where we'd be without our veterans. Thank you for all that you do, and get your BSJ membership request in (we're a little behind but we're working at it)...
- Took in the Bruins game last night with the family. Figured they'd come out firing after dropping two straight, including that stinker against the Red Wings ... yeah, I was wrong. The Bruins were totally asleep for the first two periods, and eventually fell in a shootout.
- Don't get me wrong, the third period was fun ... but this team is better than that. Not a big thing, but mildly irritating.
- You can bet Bruce Cassidy is not happy. Conor covers three disturbing trends that will set Butch off.
- Well, we can write off the Chiefs in the AFC playoff top seed race after their bad loss to the Titans. Seriously, how did they lose that game. Ryan Tannehill scored in four plays with no timeouts! Four! Ryan Tannehill!
- Brian Hoyer ... yikes.
- Thought the Ravens might have a Patriots hangover, even if it was the Bungles. Yeah, they didn't.
- Can't wait for Jason Garrett to come to Gillette.
- The Browns had the worst goal-line series in NFL history. No hyperbole. Eight plays from the 1. Didn't score.
- The Patriots broke Sean McVay and the Rams (actually, their terrible offensive line and Jared Goff).
- Maybe now Bills fans will stop tweeting me about that winner Josh Allen.
- Things are not going well for Matt Patricia. No, you don't want him back.
- Every team has a mindless loss, but the Saints losing at home to the Falcons was ugly.
Time to hit the links...
