Good morning!
A few random thoughts while I wonder who won the best-dressed award at the Bruins Halloween party...
- So I was kind of flipping back and forth between the Celtics and the World Series last night. Sure seemed for a while like the C's were going to make it an early night and show they're just not on the Bucks' level this season...
- ... And then all hell broke loose in the second half and the Celtics went on to an easy victory.
- What the heck happened? Marcus Smart happened, along with a few other things.
- You absolutely should contrast last year to this year. ... Last year they get blown out by 30.
- Love Kemba's crossover.
- Is it OK now for us to expect Gordon Hayward to play with a little more consistency? He was terrible in the first half, and terrific in the second. Time to start getting The Real Gordon Hayward for more than 30 minutes a night.
- Nationals won the World Series last night on a game I thought A.J. Hinch botched pretty good.
- He lifted a dominant Zack Greinke early for a reliever on fumes, then never used Gerrit Cole. That's a big bullet left in the chamber.
- "I'm so f--king glad they got Osuna!'" ... A penny for Brandon Taubman's thoughts.
- And Bryce Harper's.
- Kind of amazing what the Nationals have done. Covered the Red Sox series there last year and it seemed like Dave Martinez was about to get fired and the bottom was coming out. Now they're World Champs.
- Lengthy Patriots chat covered a lot of ground. Will be reporting back on the Ravens later tonight/in the morning.
- Leave it to the Bruins (and Brad Marchand) to get you in the mood.
