BSJ Daily Briefing 10.29.19: Chaim Bloom introduced for Red Sox, NFL trade deadline day taken at BSJ Headquarters (Regular Features)

Good morning!

A few random thoughts while I wonder what the Patriots might do today...

  • Chaim Bloom got the press conference treatment at Fenway.

  • Man, John Henry talked about how they didn't want someone who would be a "one-man show." That's cold to Dave Dombrowski.

  • That's great, John, but you knew what Dombrowski was ... he worked for you in Florida. He also did the same thing in Detroit. Don't act like this was a surprise. You knew exactly what was going to happen, or at least should have.

  • I like that Theo Epstein gave more than a nod about Bloom, Sam Kennedy told Sean McAdam.

  • The NFL trade deadline is here. I doubt the Patriots do anything. If they do, the odds are it's a minor move.

  • Jumbo Joe Thornton and the Sharks visit the Garden. Could be Joe's last visit ... maybe.
