PREGAME NOTES:

  • Tonight stands as the first meeting between these two teams since Game 7 back on June 12, but injuries will keep some regulars out of the lineup for this rematch. Despite returning to practice sans non-contact jersey on Saturday morning, David Krejci will miss his fourth straight game, with Charlie Coyle once again centering a second line next to Jake DeBrusk and Brett Ritchie. Anders Bjork will make his second straight start for Boston, and will play on a third line with Danton Heinen and Par Lindholm.

  • Vladimir Tarasenko will also not suit up on Saturday, as the Russian winger will sit out at least the next two games due to an upper-body injury.

  • For the first time this season, the Bruins will roll out a goaltender for consecutive starts, as Tuukka Rask will get the call in net on Saturday. Jaroslav Halak will start on Sunday against the Rangers. Boston will get at least one regular back in the lineup, as Joakim Nordstrom has been cleared and will return to a fourth line with Sean Kuraly and Chris Wagner

  • The Bruins should once again have their hands full with a Blues top line featuring both Jaden Schwartz and Brayden Schenn. Schwartz has tallied nine points over his last eight games, while Schenn is on a three-game point streak. Schenn currently ranks fourth in the NHL with eight goals on the year. Jordan Binnington will get the call in net for St. Louis, with the goalie posting a 4-1-3 record with a .916 save percentage through eight games.

  • The Bruins and Blues won’t meet again until April 2 at the Enterprise Center. Including the Stanley Cup Final, St. Louis is 5-3-0 in its last eight trips to TD Garden.
