Good morning!
A few random thoughts while I wonder who's next to get a one-way ticket out of Fort Foxborough...
- Another busy day for the Patriots as Michael Bennett was traded to the Cowboys for what amounted to a couple of bags of used footballs.
- The Patriots opened a little bit of cap space with the move. Will that lead to another deal?
- The Red Sox have zeroed in on Chaim Bloom as their next GM. Seems like a good move. It will probably tick off the Gang of Four that the team brought in a guy who hasn't been a No. 1 either.
- Meanwhile, the Sox are still waiting word on Chris Sale. Splendid.
- Bruins welcome back the Blues to the Garden this weekend. Still too soon.
- If you want to relive the Celtics' opener, go for it.
- Celtics get a chance to bounce back with two games over the weekend.
