A mix of analysis and observations after the Celtics soundly defeated the previously undefeated Magic with a 100-75 victory to improve to 2-0 this preseason.
Box Score
Jaylen Brown is adding to his offensive game with his passing vision: If there was one main complaint about the wing in his first few NBA seasons on the offensive end, it was a lack of vision on his forays in the paint. Brown has the ability to get past his man regularly but would sometimes force up tough shots when meeting resistance in the paint, instead of finding the open man. Now with three seasons of experience under his belt, along with some time with Team USA, Brown’s offensive game was at its best against the Magic. He finished with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists but the way he helped the Celtics offense shoot out to a double-digit lead was telling. He attacked the rim well with the left hand on several occasions and impressively made the extra pass when finding resistance. The end result was a 21-2 run against a good defensive Orlando team to start the game.
This kind of vision on his drives would take Jaylen's game to the next level this year. https://t.co/jpSfxRTrQK
