- The Bruins are 1-0-2 so far this preseason, while the Flyers are 1-2-1. Boston beat the Flyers, 3-1, back on Thursday night in Philadelphia.
- Bruce Cassidy said following practice Monday that Tuukka Rask will start and play all three periods of Monday's game, while Jaroslav Halak will get the starting nod on Wednesday against the Devils. Rask will likely play once again on Saturday in Boston's preseason finale against the Blackhawks. Brian Elliott will get the start in net and play the full game for the Flyers on MOnday.
- There will be a heavy NHL presence in tonight’s lineup, with Rask, David Krejci, Zdeno Chara, Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak all making their preseason debuts tonight.
- While he's yet to appear in a preseason game, Patrice Bergeron is expected to play in at least one matchup before the regular season begins. Cassidy mentioned Saturday as the likely target for Bergeron.
