NearlyNearlyGood morning!
A few random thoughts while I wonder if Tom Brady can throw every pass to Phillip Dorsett...
- The Patriots' defense stood out in their 10-3 victory over the Panthers ... and no, it's not because it was nearly the same score as the Super Bowl (though that doesn't hurt)
- My column on the defense running this team now.
- Liked how Jakobi Meyers owned up to his mistakes, and he was pretty funny.
- Michael Bennett had a sack right after I touted his pass-rush ability. They are totally related.
- Friday surprise: Patrick Chung indicted on cocaine charges that seem pretty easy for him to beat, or at least explain away. This won't amount to much for him or the team.
- I think we need every Red Sox game to start in the 10th inning. And make it cheap for kids!
- What if B-Robb presented you with an alternate reality where the Celtics never traded for Kyrie Irving and they instead landed Kawhi Leonard and Anthony Davis ... would you sign up for that?
- Big home game Saturday night for the Adopted Sons of Bruce Arena.
