FINAL: Patriots 22, Titans 17 - Winovich, Wynn, D. Harris headliners so far

Jarrett Stidham led a late 99-yard scoring drive to boost the Patriots, who trailed 17-8 at halftime.

Chase Winovich (sack, six QB pressures), Damien Harris (18 touches, 103 total yards), Jakobi Meyers (six catches, 82 yards) and left tackle Isaiah Wynn were the clear standouts.

9:40: Nice back-shoulder throw from Stidham to Damoun Patterson for a touchdown. A 99-yard drive for the Patriots. PATRIOTS 22, TITANS 17.

9:33: Thurman gets way too upfield on a big run.

9:29: Gostkowski misses from 40. Bailey was the holder.

9:19: Stidham almost threw a pick-six again but it goes through the corner's hands to Brossette for a first down.

9:08: Titans are going right through the Patriots. Pennel still out there at nose tackle. Looks like Brooks is at CB and Dawson is with Melifonwu at safety. ... field goal no good.

8:57: Big run by Harris for 17 yards. Stidham nearly throws a pick six. TD Brossette without getting touched. They like the toss tonight. TITANS 17, PATRIOTS 15

8:54: Stidham to new TE Eric Saubert and then playaction to Kendricks for 28 yards.

8:53: Second half underway.

Stidham a nice pass to Meyers on third down.

8:19: Stidham in with the ball at the 2. Belichick testing the kid.

Safety on Lance Kendricks. TITANS 17, PATRIOTS 8.

8:17: Really good series by Chase Winovich and Terrence Brooks. Winovich is wearing out the TEs and FBs in his area. Brooks has had a few hard hits and a pass breakup.

8:06: Wynn looks to be done. Very successful outing. Skipper at LT, Croston at RT. Ferentz gives up a sack. Nice one-handed catch by Beck but they'll punt. 4.65 hang by Allen, who might be getting a showcase game.

8:00: Touchdown for the Titans on a little throw to the RB in the flat. Trent Harris didn't flatten him, Munson got caught in the wash with the tight end going vertical. TITANS 15, PATRIOTS 8.

7:56: Really nice throw by Tannehill to Fisker with tough coverage from Terrence Brooks.

7:54: Nice run play by Munson but holding on the Patriots defense. Probably Winovich (wrong number).

7:52: Bolden gets in on second down where Izzo, Johnson and Wynn all do a nice job. They get two when Hoyer finds Meyers against tight coverage. PATRIOTS 8, TITANS 8.

7:48: Patriots have put together a great drive and most of it is through Damien Harris in a variety of ways. He's caught two passes and just has a 20-yard run to the 1 where he had a really nice cutback. It's the type of play Sony Michel wouldn't have made at this point last year.

7:39: Mariota pretty easily to Walker against Melifonwu. Seemed like he was expecting help in the middle. Mariota gets the two-point conversion. TITANS 8, PATRIOTS 0.

7:35: Calhoun is down. Got leg-whipped.

7:31: Rivers down with an injury but nothing was apparent on video.

7:26: Good first down run play by Calhoun.

Solid result on Ryan Allen's first punt but not great hangtime. About 4. Got a good bounce.

Isaiah Wynn has played the first series plus and looks good. Dan Skipper is at RT.

Brian Hoyer threw a pick to end the first drive to Berrios. Wasn't a great route by him, but the ball was behind him.

Joejuan Williams had a pass defensed to end the first drive.

PREGAME NEWS

According to league sources, Tom Brady is not expected to play. I'm being told that the feeling is he had a good week of practice (he did) and there's no need to subject him to unneeded pressure against an aggressive pass rush from the Titans.

Isaiah Wynn is expected to play and rotate with Dan Skipper.
