A few random thoughts while I wonder if Alex Cora should have had that team meeting in New York...
- Holy moly...
- The Red Sox are 6.5 games out of the playoffs?! They're only four games over .500. What in the name of Chicken & Beer is going on around here?
- Didn't really think it could get any worse, and then David Price took the hill on Sunday night. I mean, Dan isn't wrong...
- Since the Celtics screwed up Boston's mojo, things haven't exactly gone well.
- There's always the Patriots. Always.
- Here's the latest 53 from me, and it's starting to get a lot harder. Will only get more difficult.
- Tom Brady got an extension, which gives them more cap room for this season. But next year ... his cap may be $37 million. Something doesn't add up.
- Josh Gordon could be back ... and it might not be anytime soon.
- Stat check and 4 up/down through eight practices.
- Patriots start joint practices with the Lions today here. I'll be on the scene giving you what you need to know.
- The Revs got cooled off by the best team in the league.
- Absolutely gutted that my friend, former colleague and all-around great human, Don Banks, left us suddenly and way too soon. Loved New England and the Sox. Feel terrible for Alissa and his sons.
