Carsen Edwards scored a game-high 25 points off the bench for the Celtics but it wasn't enough to rally from a double-digit deficit as the Grizzlies sent Boston home with a 94-88 victory in the quarterfinals of the tournament portion of the summer league. Memphis led by as many as 16 points in the second quarter after a huge run but the C's slowly but surely chipped away at the deficit in the second half, cutting the lead to one with two minutes remaining before the Grizzlies held on.

DeVonte Green added 17 points while Tremont Waters scored 16 points in the wake of tragedy after the his father passed away in Connecticut earlier this week. Head coach Scott Morrison said Waters elected to stay with the team and play in Vegas with his family supporting him.

The C's summer league run comes to an end with the loss, giving the team a 4-1 record over the past week.
