WHO: Revolution at LA Galaxy
WHERE: Dignity Health Sports Park, Carson, Calif.
WHEN: 10:30 p.m.
TV/RADIO: NBC Sports Boston/WBZ-FM 98.5/1260 AM Portuguese
WHAT’S UP: It’s Match Day 16 and the last league match for the Revs prior to the CONCACAF Gold Cup break. And tonight, we have our old buddies from the Golden State, LA Galaxy, as our hosts for the evening.

Sweens here at The Farm, dinner has been consumed, the dishwasher loaded, wife is asleep... time for fútbol. Your starting lineups and benches will be live at about 9:45 p.m. Until then, your match notes are below.

We're underway in SoCal. Revs in the home Navy Blue kit on the road, Galaxy in the lilywhite shirts with the blue and old sash. New England gets us started. Periodic updates to follow.

4' Nice ideas by Gil to Jones, and Jones takes the shot even though DF14 is charging toward the 6-yard box.

7' ALMOST for Bunbury as Bingham saves Penilla's shot. Bunbury pops the rebound over the bar. Revs out on the front foot with a lot of possession in the early goings. Really good win by Agudelo on the second ball

8' Lletget receiving some treatment... and he's going to come off really early. Chris Pontius to come on. Bad luck for Galaxy.

9' Luis Caicedo is down now... Brad Feldman says he's pounding the ground and Evan Allen is out to check on him. Arena will want to get Zahibo or Caldwell up. Ohhhh, Caicedo had taken an elbow from Zlatan to the back of the head according to replay. Not a lot of intent there.

10' Pontius on for LA.

11' Luis coming off for a bit, has a towel on the back of his head. It's 11 on 10 in favor of LA as Caicedo gets treatment.

13' Big sliding stop by Farrell on Antuna.

14' Nice stop by Gonzalez to get the ball away from Penilla. Really nice defending so far tonight.

15' Shout for a handle by the Revolution... not happening..... and another sliding stop by Farrell at the other end.

16' Caicedo back out there, wearing a skull cap. 11 v 11 again.

18' Penilla with the volley, right to Bingham.

21' Knighton comes out to get the ball before Pontius can get to it.

22' Not a penalty for me as Farrell gets to the ball first from Skjelvik before he goes down in the penalty area.

23' Farrell with another denial to start a counter.

24' Zlatan goes into the book for a hit on the back of Farrell's head.

27' Well, that's breaking news. Mike Lapper to leave the club in the middle of the month.... and Brad Knighton with a huge save on Zlatan, but Zlatan is offside... if barely.

29' Steres with the shot on the rebound goes into Row Z, after Zlatan rises above Anibaba.

30' Zlatan gets in after a giveaway by Farrell, and Knighton saves it.

31' Shot by Penilla blocked.

32' Kick save and a beauty by Knighton on Antuna. Antuna way offside, though. Defending needs to get tighter and more aware.

34' Jalil with a sliding stop on Zlatan.

36' Revs lack the finish as Gil finds Penilla on the cut back, Penilla swings and misses.

42' Corner to LA. Dos Santos to take it. Partially cleared.

43' Two shots by Penilla, one saved, one deflected over the bar. Fagundez key to get the second shot started. Corner to the Revs, and it's partially cleared.

45' GOAL REVOLUTION, and it's Penilla who pounds it off Bingham's hands and in for the goal. Gil with the assist as he flicks Penilla free. Huge goal, deserved, and it's 1-0 to the Revs. Third of the season for Penilla.
