WHAT’S UP: We roll into Memorial Day Weekend and Match Day 15 all at the same time. DC United is the opponent, and the last time the Black and Red came to Foxborough, the Revolution beat them… and represented the lone win for two months. It’s also Star Wars Night at Gillette.

We're underway. The Revs are in the home Navy Blues headed toward The Banner End, DC in the visiting whites headed to The Fort. Periodic updates to follow.
4' Matt Turner called into action for the first time tonight.
5' Agudelo with a turnover, but DC shoots it off Farrell for a throw-in.
7' Anibaba bullies Rooney off the ball.
8' Nice tekkers by Penilla, but his pass to Agudelo is offline.... another Revs charge where Gil tries to find Agudelo, but it's cleared.
9' Nothing in that handball shout for me.... but we're going to VAR! Canouse the perpetrator. It would be a penalty to New England if awarded.
11' Dave Gantar takes a look at it and says no penalty, no handling.
14' Buchanan has a go.... and is wide.
15' Anibaba with a sliding stop and it's a corner for DC. Headed over the bar.
First quarter of an hour down and the Revs are having difficulty stringing passes together.... trying to force the ball through DC bodies in the box, too.
18' Caicedo with a nice stop to start a counter.... Penilla's shot is blocked, and it comes to Gil, who has a go from 17 yards... just wide.
19' Deep free kick by DC is headed wide of the far post.
23' Penilla with a soft volley caught by Hamid.
24' Caicedo comes out of nowhere to dispossess DC, and there's some afters here... Caicedo concedes the foul. Free kick for DC.
26' Wazza puts it into the Revs' wall.... but DC gets the first shot on target afterward by Moreno.
29' Gil draws a foul over near the corner.... free kick in a semi-dangerous area for New England, and Gil will take in. Eight navy blue jerseys in/around the box.... a couple of tries by the Revs, but DC clears for a corner. Trouble not over yet.
30' Now it is.
34' Corner to DC. Comes to nothing.
35' Penilla tries to find Agudelo, but Agudelo can't keep control of the ball in the box.
36' Corner to the Revs. Comes to nothing.
37' WOAH. That was close as DC tries to find Rooney, but it meets Bye's head.... and goes just on the high side of the crossbar. The resulting corner comes to nothing. Revs lucky to go the other way not down 1-0.
39' Good ideas there by the Revs as Penilla has a go on a layoff.... and wide.
42' Bye keeps the ball away from Rooney and may have even clipped him... no call, Gantar waves it off, and Rooney's up yelling for the foul.
43' Corner for the Revs. Anibaba spins, shoots... wide, thanks to a deflections. Another corner..... whistle blown for a foul. Going the other way.
45' Minimum two minutes stoppages and a yellow card to Cristian Penilla... and on the free kick, Brillant tries to get cheeky, but there's Matt Turner to make the save. Huge save.
HALF
Quickie thoughts: Revs doing just enough to neutralize Rooney's influence in the match and limiting his time on the ball. Agudelo not having a great 45 minutes. Revs' O trying to force the ball into the box, but haven't done that for about 20 minutes.
DC with 63 percent of the ball so far with two shots on-target. Revs no shots on target yet.
SECOND HALF UNDERWAY
Revs heading toward The Fort. United get us started.
47' Brandon Bye with a shot and a Hamid save after an Agudelo takeaway. First shot on target for the Revs tonight.
48' Wazza with a chiiiiip, over the bar.
49' Shot by Tajon and shouts for handling... Gantar not hearing it... Revs feeling peckish out of the half , Penilla recovers and fired just wide.
51' Don't know what that was by Tajon. Don't know if that was a shot, but it went out for a throw-in.
52' Nice ideas by Agudelo and Bunbury as they connect, Bunbury heads it wide.
53' Andrew Farrell is issued a yellow.
54' Acosta nearly poaches one, but he fires over the bar. He eased around Buchanan.
56' STRAIGHT RED as Matt Turner charges off his line and plows right into Wayne Rooney outside of the box. Turner is in disbelief, and the Revs will be down to 10 men. Knighton will come in, and we'll see who is withdrawn.
58' Buchanan is withdrawn.
59' Rooney takes the free kick from 19 yards away, and Knighton saves it at the near post.
61' GOAL REVOLUTION, and it's Juan Agudelo using his noggin! Jones keeps the ball in play, gets to Gil who then finds Penilla... and then Penilla volleys to Agudelo at the far post. Agudelo heads it in, and Han Solo goes "Woooohoooo!" on the video board. 1-0 Revs.
63' BYE! Brandon Bye with a sliding tackle in the box denies Rodriguez. Huge move to keep the Revs ahead, as Rodriguez was tippy-tapping into the box and in toward Knighton..... a couple of close tries off the corner and dispossession off the goal kick by DC, but over the bar and wide.
66' Yellow card to Bunbury. Don't know why.
69' DC with a go... wide.

76' Acosta gets in unmarked in consecutive trips, but the defense recovers and denies.

89' PENALTY TO DC UNITED. Oh boy. Rooney takes the ball and he'll take the spot kick.
