Good morning!
A few random thoughts while I wonder if we'll finally get a stretch of dry weather...
- Conor has an interesting story about the Bruins and their use of analytics. Basically, Bruce Cassidy spilled all the beans on how they use them. Call him the anti-Bill Belichick (and the media loves you for it, Bruce).
- What's interesting about this, which was pointed out to me by friend and NFL Data and Analytics chief Michael Lopez (and occasional BSJ contributor) is that Hurricanes VP Eric Tulsky basically brought zone-entry analytics to the NHL, and the Bruins used them to beat Carolina.
- Oh, those wicked games that nerds play.
- Those pesky Peaky Blinders.
- B-Robb's churning out a ton of interesting Celtics content, from his thoughts on Terry Rozier, to Kyrie's next contract.
- The Red Sox are in Toronto and won ... having a hard time getting into baseball season. Wake me in mid-June ... maybe.
- We may know who the Bruins are facing tonight. Or it could go to Game 7.
- Warriors to the NBA Finals for the fifth straight year. No Durant and some injury issues, but let's not make this out like they're miracle workers or anything.
