Welcome to first and 10, a roundup of all the (mostly) Patriots-related news you need to start your Wednesday. Grab your coffee and let’s get to it.
Between the Bruins and Red Sox, it was a wild night in Boston sports, so we're going to pass on the introduction and jump right into the links...
1. Went deep on this feature on Dontrelle Inman. Talked to a few people who have seen a lot of him the last few years, and added a ton of film of his snaps as well. An intriguing prospect who should have a chance here in New England ... if he can stay healthy (an issue in the past) and as long as the Patriots don't give him No. 17.
2. Stephen Gostkowski talked with the media at Gillette Stadium on Tuesday. The veteran said free agency was an odd process. “It was a weird experience,” Gostkowski said. “Eight, nine years ago, when I don’t have kids and a family and roots here, it’s a completely different ball game. Being able to take my time and think about what I really wanted and go over all of the factors, and there’s so many. It’s nice when other teams show interest in you and stuff like that, but at the end of the day, I’d like to try to finish where I started.”
Back in 1995, I was pitching for the Montreal Expos, and we drafted some kid named @tombrady as a catcher. Imagine how it could have changed the course of history for the @patriots if he had stuck with the @mlb instead of the @nfl! ??????#tombrady #mlb #nfl #whatif pic.twitter.com/dUc2WLUap4
