Final: Chicago 5, Revolution 0 - New England gets annihilated once again taken at BSJ Headquarters (Revolution)

WHO: Revolution at Chicago Fire
WHEN: Wednesday, May 8, 8 p.m. ET
WHERE: SeatGeek Stadium, Bridgeview, Ill.
TV/RADIO: NBC Sports Boston/WBZ-FM 98.5/1260 AM Portuguese
WHAT’S UP: The Revs head into Match Day 12 looking to reverse the worst loss the team has suffered in a year and a half at the weekend, and will try to do so against a team in the Fire who have not lost to New England since 2016.

Sweens here at the Farm, readying for some midweek football. Dinner -- Mississippi pot roast, droooool -- has been consumed, and the starting lineups and benches are now available. So, too, are your match notes.

We're underway. Revs in the home Navy Blues here in front of a crowd in Chicago that would make an early-season Gillette crowd look huge. Periodic updates to follow.

3' Revs coming out with the press with the ball in Chicago's half, like we mentioned they should do in Midweek Kick.

4' Revs free kick out on the flank is partially cleared by the Fire.

9' First sustained touches by the Fire in the Revs' half after a giveaway by Anibaba.

10' Luis Caicedo clattered Mihailovic from behind. Luis still down, and Evan Allen comes out to check on him.... first 10 minutes are done, and it's not been a bad 10 minutes for New England.

11' Milhailovic with a weak shot on the spin in the box, just wide of the near post... and here comes Chicago again. Corner, and that's cleared.

13' Gaitan with a shot after a neat layoff by Nikolic. That shot goes over the bar.

14' ALMOST for Nikolic. He gets released behind the Revs defense by Schweiny... Turner comes out, Nikolic shoots just barely wide. Nervy moments.

16' Nikolic again... he gets behind the central defense, Turner comes out to his left, Nikolic can't get all of the ball, and the Revs clear it.

18' Another blast by Gaitan, headed for the lake.

24' Schweinsteiger with a volley over the bar. Revs had a foray a minute or two ago, but couldn't get deeper than the opening of the attacking third.

25' Fagundez, no longer with long, yellow hair, has a go with a curler... and Ousted catches it. First shot on target for New England.

26' Calvo goes weeeeeeee on that shot.... had a lot of air under it. Outside of the two Nikolic chances, just a lot of shots from deep by Chicago.

27' 66 percent possession by Chicago at this point.

28' GOAL CHICAGO, and Nikolic heads it in off the free kick. Solid service into the box, Nikolic gets by Luis Caicedo, and he heads it down and up into the roof of the net. 1-0 to the Fire. First Chicago goal in 308 minutes.
