First and 10: Taking you into the weekend with a handful of Patriots' updates taken at BSJ Headquarters (Patriots)

(Adam Richins/Boston Sports Journal)

Welcome to first and 10, a roundup of all the (mostly) Patriots-related news you need to start your Friday. Grab your coffee and let’s get to it.

Going to jump right into things this morning because we have a few good stories on the way and there's a bunch of good stuff to get to before then.

1. We spent some quality time with James White at Gillette Stadium on Thursday morning, and the running back talked about getting back to work, getting re-acquainted with Brandon Bolden and his feelings on fantasy football.

2. Lawrence Guy also talked with the media, and he also hit on a bunch of other topics, including his feelings about the new guys.

3. The Pats officially signed 10 rookie free agents and a pair of veteran free agents.

4. Mike Reiss has a breakdown of the current roster, post-draft, with a focus on the quarterback position and what the pickup of Jarrett Stidham means.

5. Nate Davis of USA TODAY has nine members of the draft class of 2019 who could make a Super Bowl difference for their new teams. Chase Winovich and N'Keal Harry both make the list. Of Harry, he writes: "Big (6-2, 228), strong and fast (4.53 40 at combine), he may not be a tight end, but Harry could be the guy who effectively spells retired Rob Gronkowski when (Tom) Brady needs a first down on a back shoulder throw to the boundary or a target who can body up a corner or safety in the end zone."
