Live Coverage: White Sox 6, Red Sox 4

The Red Sox suffered one of their worst losses of the season, losing 6-4 to the Chicago White Sox on a walk-off three=run homer by Nicky Delmonico.

The Sox carried a one-run lead into the bottom of the ninth and got the first out. But third baseman Rafael Devers made an error to put the potential tying run on, and after a single to left by Yonder Alonso, Ryan Brasier hung a slider to Delmonico, who cranked it out to right-center.

The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for the Red Sox, who had gone ahead in the top of the seventh when Andrew Benintendi walked, took third on a single by Mookie Betts and scored on a fielder's choice by J.D Martinez.

11:14  Impressive inning from Matt Barnes, who faces the 2-3-4 hitters in the White Sox lineup and strikes out the side -- two swinging and one looking.

10:44 All the damage tonight has come from the top three spots in the lineup -- eight hits, two RBI and four runs scored. A fielder's choice by Martinez scores Benintendi as the Sox re-take the lead.

10:32 Price can't get Jose Rondon, who lines a changeup up the middle to score the tying run.

10:23 Price has done a nice job keeping the ball out of the middle of the plate tonight. He's allowed just two hits since the first inning and one of those was a bunt single.

9:50   Martinez was hitless in the previous two games, but is 3-for-3 tonight -- twice going the other way and then singling up the middle to open the fifth.

9:47   After issuing a leadoff walk to McCann, Price does a nice job escaping in the fourth, striking out Moncada and Rondon then retiring Alonso on a lineout to left.

9:20  Price knew that he missed location badly on Garcia and was lucky to only give up a single.

8:59   Leadoff homer to start the third from Andrew Benintendi. The last six Red Sox homers have come with no one on base.

8:39  If you're going to leave a fastball up in the top of the zone, it had better been harder than 91 mph -- James McCann drives one out to right-center.

8:34 There's the other side of Devers, who makes a fabulous backhand stop and strong throw to take extra bases away from Jose Abreu. The routine ones give him difficulty at times, but he's capable of terrific plays like that one.

8:25  A quick run in for the Red Sox, but once again, the feeling that there should have been more. Bases loaded and one out and the Sox get only one.
