Welcome to first and 10, a roundup of all the (mostly) Patriots-related news you need to start your Wednesday. Grab your coffee and let’s get to it.
In the NFL, if you want to win, there's really no room for sentimentality.
Sure, you want to be able to keep a team like the 2018 Patriots together, especially a group that played so well together down the stretch and into the postseason. But the truth of the matter is that every year, there will be changes, and this New England team will be no different. We saw that when it came to free agency, and now, post-draft, we’re going to see more changes to the roster, as it appears popular players like Brian Hoyer, Ryan Allen and others are in for a positional battle this spring and summer. I've referenced the Mike Vrabel quote on multiple occasions, but I thought about it more after the selections of players like Jake Bailey, Jarrett Stidham and others. The bottom-line aspect of the game really hits home at this time of year.
.@Titans HC Mike Vrabel said he watched every draft for 14 years as a player, knowing teams were trying to find someone to replace him. But he said that's what game is about. He said he hopes veterans act like pros and mentor new guys

10. Michael Bennett went on "First Things First" to talk about joining the Patriots. “I think it’s a great opportunity,” Bennett said. “One, I get to play with Tom Brady, Devin McCourty and all these great guys — Dont’a Hightower — guys that have been in great situations, guys who know about ‘team,’ and I just want to learn about leadership and want to learn about how to build a team and fit in and how to do all these different things. And I think they do a great job at that.”
