Good afternoon!
A few random thoughts while I wonder what kind of tease spring is going to give us today...
- The Patriots had an interesting day of free agency that probably resulted in frustration for some fans, and status quo for the large (rightfully) Trust in Bill crowd with bodies but not a lot of names.
- And, no, this isn't by design or some brilliant plan by Belichick to attack market inefficiencies. They haven't gotten (or retained) much in the draft going back a handful of years and that lack of a younger generation has meant the Patriots have gotten older, more expensive and have less cap space now.
- Didn't hurt last year, mostly because they had an unreal run of injury luck.
- Offseason primer that will constantly be updated for members.
- Will the new receivers be any better than the group that did nothing last year during the offseason?
- I do like the Mike Pennel signing, if he doesn't get suspended again. We'll see on everybody else.
- Jaylen Brown's three splashes at the end of the third ... huge. And staved off another possible disappointing loss.
- That's three-straight L's for the walking wounded Bruins.
- What's the over/under on days until Blake Swihart is traded?
Time to hit the links...
