Not sure the Patriots could have been more on-brand when it came to the first full day of free agency.
While others made big splashes, they had what appeared to be mostly a special teams focus. They retained two of their own players in John Simon and Jason McCourty, re-signed old pal Brandon Bolden, and picked up the 2019 option on special teams captain Matthew Slater.
