PREGAME NOTES

  • Boston will look to keep things rolling on Saturday, with a five-game winning streak and a 10-game point streak up for grabs if the B’s are able to beat the lowly Kings in L.A. It’s been a rough season for the Kings, who currently sit in last place in the Western Conference with a record of 23-28-6 this season.

  • Boston, who has posted an 8-2-2 record against the Pacific Division so far this season, will also get a big piece back on the blue line in Matt Grzelcyk, who had missed the previous four games with a lower-body injury. He will slot back in on Boston’s third D pairing with Kevan Miller, while John Moore will be scratched.

  • David Backes will also sit out the second leg of the back-to-back stretch, with Karson Kuhlman set to make his NHL debut while skating on the third line with Trent Frederic and Joakim Nordstrom. For a scouting report on Kuhlman, click here:

  • Tuukka Rask will get the start in net, with the goalie looking to improve to 11-0-2 in his last 14 outings. Rask’s last loss came all the way back on Dec. 23 in a 5-3 defeat at the hands of the Hurricanes.
