- Despite skating ahead of Bruins practice once again on Tuesday, Charlie McAvoy will not play in tonight’s matchup against the Wild. Joakim Nordstrom is the only other injured skater — with the forward still sidelined for at least three weeks due to a fractured fibula.
- Tuukka Rask will get the nod in net once again after stopping 31 of the 32 shots that came his way in Saturday’s win. Since relinquishing five goals against Carolina on Dec. 23, Rask is sporting a .949 save percentage in his next three appearances.
- After dropping out of a playoff spot in late December off of a four-game losing streak, the Wild currently sit in the final Wild Card spot out West thanks to a four-game winning streak — all on the road.
- Special teams could dictate Tuesday’s matchup, with a potent B’s power play (27.4 percent success rate) set to battle with a Minnesota penalty-kill unit that ranks third overall in the NHL (84.7).
- The Wild will be on the second leg of a back-to-back slate after posting a shutout win over Montreal on Monday, but Minnesota holds a 14-5-3 career record against the Bruins.
