- On the second leg of a back-to-back slate, the Bruins won’t have any changes up front or on the blue line Monday, with the lone switch being Jaroslav Halak back in net. In his last four outings, Halak is 1-3-0 with an .887 save percentage.
- After dropping two straight games in outings where they led in 5v5 shots on goal and overall attempts, the B’s might have to prioritize quality over quantity when they get the puck in the Habs' zone. Even with plenty of favorable possession stats in Boston’s favor, the Bruins have scored two goals or less in 11 of their last 15 games.
- Currently, the Bruins sit in the final Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference with 38 points on the year. The team ahead of them? The Habs — who have accrued 39 points in the same amount of games.
- Montreal has won five of its last six games, with the Habs tallying at least four goals in four of those matchups. Carey Price will also be gunning for his 300th career win during Monday’s game. In his career against the Bruins, Price is 25-12-5 with a .923 save percentage.
