- After scoring six goals in their past four games, the Bruins will look to carry over some momentum after lighting the lamp six times against the Maple Leafs on Saturday. It will be interesting to see how younger forwards like Danton Heinen, Jakob Forsbacka Karlsson and Ryan Donato respond after encouraging outings against Toronto.
- Tuukka Rask will likely get the start after Jaroslav Halak got the call against Toronto. Rask is 2-2-2 with a .929 save percentage in his last six outings, dating back to Nov. 16.
- Charlie McAvoy’s is back in the lineup for Sunday’s game after taking a late hit from Zach Hyman on Saturday. Hyman is set to have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety for the hit, which knocked McAvoy out of the final 10 minutes of regulation. While he eventually returned to the bench with two minutes left in the third, he did not skate. Good news for Boston.
- The Senators have some young talent both up front in Brady Tkachuk (16 points in 19 games) and Thomas Chabot (33 points), but Ottawa is last in the league win goals allowed per game at 4.00. Sens goalie Mike McKenna is 1-1-0 with a 4.66 goals-against average and .879 save percentage in five games this season.
