Bedard's Briefing 12.04.18: McDaniels season in full swing, Bruins back at it

Good morning! 

A few random thoughts while I wonder if Mark Sanchez being a starter again is a sign of the apocalypse...

• So with Mike McCarthy's firing, Josh McDaniels' name has rocketed up the board and will now be the source of constant rumoring;


• We're already seeing reports of him putting together a coaching staff...


• I don't believe any of it, at least not yet.


• First of all, McDaniels can't even talk to the Packers or anyone else until the bye week (if they have one).


• Secondly, can you imagine how pissed off Bill Belichick would be if he heard McDaniels was doing a bunch of side work in early December with the Steelers game coming up?


• This will also start non-stop questions about who the next offensive coordinator will be. I don't get the fascination/worry. The Patriots playbook will not change. Tom Brady is here. This isn't Belichick's first rodeo. He'll pick a damn-fine OC. I wouldn't worry about it.


• Bruins are back on the road with a quick Florida swing. We'll see if they can keep plugging along while JFK logs a lot of commuter rail points between Boston and Providence.
