Week 12 NFL Picks: Patriots may struggle in a win; Vikings, Saints are best bets

Well, we stopped taking on water this week, but we're still slumping a little bit. Feeling good about this week's slate of games, but I don't forsee totally good news with the Patriots.

Bedard: "The Patriots are kind of hit and miss coming out of the bye in recent years, even against non-divisional opponents. Coming out against a team like the Jets, with a grizzled old vet like Josh McCown is even tougher. So I expect the Patriots to struggle for a while. ... The Packers are winless on the road and are teetering very close to fully melting down. It could get ugly."

Price: "I'm still feeling really good about where I am when it comes to picking straight-up. I'm very close to just using the Costanza 'opposite' method when it comes to my picks against the spread. ... The Jets are almost always a pain for the Patriots at MetLife, but I think New England will pull away in the second half. ... And with no Rams to lean on for a best bet, I'll go with the next best thing -- the Saints against an Atlanta team that has lost its last two games to Cleveland and Dallas."
