Good morning!
A few random thoughts while I wonder what the snow to slush ratio is outside...
- Little tease for the weekend: I'll have exclusive comments from Tom Brady on Sunday ... we talked footwork, timing of the passing offense, the delayed progress of this offense, reacting to pressure and Chris Hogan ... some good stuff there.
- Patriots are taking a few days off this weekend (you know, sort of like OTAs and training camp ... rimshot) to recalibrate and ready for the stretch run.
- The NFL was kind enough to schedule a second bye week (the Jets) when they get back, and then the season comes down to three games: home vs. Vikings, at Maimi and at Pittsburgh.
- Will the Patriots be a dangerous team in January? Will they have a bye? We'll know after those three games. But I expect the Chiefs and Steelers to backslide a bit as well.
- Celtics (home) and Bruins (away) go head to head tonight and Saturday. Couple good matchups at the Garden for the Celtics against the Raptors and Jazz.
- With Zdeno Chara going down, the Bruins may need to call on Conor Ryan to fill in on D. He's about the right size
- Harvard-Yale and ... hurling? ... at Fenway this weekend.
