LIVE COVERAGE:

9:45: Brad Marchand. He banks one off Khudobin with 31 seconds left in OT. Bruins win, 2-1.

9:42: 4-on-3 for the B's for the rest of the night. Too many men for Dallas.

9:41: Bergeron rings off the post. Fourth shot off the post/crossbar for the B's tonight.

9:38: Bergeron, Marchand & Krug out for the Bruins at the start of OT. Seguin, Benn and Klingberg for Dallas.

9:34: We're heading to OT.

9:24: B's kill it off. 6:10 left in the third.

9:20: Krug isn't happy, but he heads to the sin bin with 8:45 left in regulation. Call is for boarding.

9:18: Scrum in front of the B's net, and DeBrusk flips it out of danger and into the boards before another Dallas skater can pounce.

9:13: Glove stop by Khudobin on a wrister from Heinen.

9:05: Bergeron fires in a shot that skitters just past Khudobin put a biiiiiiit too far wide and past the post. Another close chance.

8:58: Third period is underway.

8:46: A small step, but the B's third line is looking better tonight. Bruins hold an edge in attempts (9-1) and shots (5-1) during the six minutes of 5v5 TOI for the Heinen-Backes-Bjork trio.

8:40: END SECOND: Still a 1-1 game. SOG in favor of Boston, 21-13.

8:36: TD Garden is NOT happy. Refs whistled the play dead very, very quick. Spoils a great shift from the third line.

8:35: It appears that Bjork knocks one home, but it is waved off.

8:30: Marchand dangles his way to the low slot, but can't get the puck through. Khudobin has been busy.

8:21: The fourth line had three fantastic looks off of a 2-on-1 and subsequent rebound. Still, no go-ahead goal.

8:19: Rask with a good save off a one-timer after Carlo blows a tire.

8:13: Acciari also rings one off the post.

8:08: Krug rings one off the post. Great passing from Pastrnak and Moore to set that up.

8:05: Second period underway. B's looking to keep the momentum going after a dominant 20 minutes.

7:57: Bruins with an 8-0 edge in attempts during John Moore's team-high 8:58 of 5v5 TOI in the first period. Great start.

PREGAME NOTES:

  • Bruce Cassidy shuffled up his second and third lines again, with Joakim Nordstrom landing at left wing on the second line with David Krejci and Jake DeBrusk — while David Backes will return to the pivot at the third line with a demoted Danton Heinen and Anders Bjork.

  • “I liked the way it looked on our last homestand for us,” Cassidy said of the lineup changes. “Krejci and Nordstrom – speed on both wings. Control a bit more of the matchup with now Backes — I think he was with Donato and Bjork before, now it’s Heinen. They’ve played together, Backes and Heinen. I think ideally, they can recapture that third-line success that they had in the past. That’s what was behind it. Keeping the first and Kuraly line alone. We’ll see how it goes.”

  • Tuukka Rask will get his first start in net since Oct. 27 against the Canadiens. With five games in eight days, Cassidy will have to at least give both netminders some reps, especially in terms of giving Jaroslav Halak a breather after stopping 81 shots over his past two starts. In his career against the Stars, Rask is 6-2-1 with a .929 save percentage.

  • “With five games in this stretch, there was no way Jaro could play all five — even if he pitched a shutout,” Cassidy said. “It just wouldn't happen. It's too early in the year to tax a goalie. ... Tuukka is in tonight and he's well rested and ready to go."

  • Matt Grzelcyk, who has missed the past two games with a lower-body injury, is a game-time decision for tonight’s matchup with Dallas. Anton Blidh was called up from Providence tonight as insurance for a banged-up Chris Wagner, but the fourth liner should be good to go.

  • The Dallas Stars will look to win their fourth straight game on Monday, with the club coming off of an impressive win over the Capitals on Saturday.

  • Anton Khudobin, who played in 62 games over two stints with the Black and Gold, will get the start in net. In two career games against the B’s, Khudobin is 1-0-1 with a .940 save percentage.

  • Of course, a tilt with the Stars also means another meeting with Tyler Seguin, who has tallied 14 points through 13 games so far this season. In 10 career meetings with the Bruins, Seguin has lit the lamp five times and posted nine points.
