ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Devin McCourty is old. Devin McCourty is slow. Devin McCourty has lost a step.
The veteran defensive back heard a lot of that through the first seven games of the 2018 season. But Monday night, he showed plenty of speed and terrific ball skills on his pick-six that sealed the Patriots 25-6 win over the Bills.
So much speed, in fact, NFL’s Next Gen Stats took notice.
Devin McCourty reached a top speed of 22.05 MPH on his 84-yard INT return TD, the fastest speed reached by a ball carrier this season.
