9:40: Montreal kills another penalty, and the B's are running out of time. A few boos again as Boston fumbles in the neutral zone.
9:39: Kampfer feeds Pastrnak in the slot, but his one-timer hits Price square in the chest.
9:36: B's get another look on the power play with 7:30 to go. Deslauriers is called for a hook.
9:30: Back to 5-on-5. 9:54 to go.
9:26: Both penalties expire, but then Marchand and Drouin get matching calls. Back to 4-on-4 with 11:53 to go.
9:22: A tripping call on Rask negates Boston's power play. 4-on-4 for 1:10.
9:20: Bruins head on the power play with 14:50 to go. Donato is tripped by Armia.
9:17: B's having some trouble breaking out of their zone and the boos are starting to rain down here at TD Garden.
9:15: Donato tries to tuck the puck past Price on the post, but he either couldn't get a good handle of the puck or Price's foot turned it aside. He's getting some good chances in this one.
9:10: Third period is underway. Bruins need to get going early.
8:54: END SECOND: Montreal still leads, 2-0. Tough stretch for the B's, who had a goal taken away following an offside review. Boston led in shots for and scoring chances in the second stanza, but no luck.
8:52: Nordstorm lets go of a slap shot as time expires, but Rask is there to glove it.
8:39: Habs' execution on the power play at bit wonky, but Rask still seems a step behind in anticipating attempts. Not tracking the puck well. Carlo now out of the box.
8:36: B's head back on the PK. Carlo heads to the box for a high stick.
8:26: Donato snipes one past Price to make it a one-goal game. But Montreal challenges, and the goal is taken off due to offsides. Brutal. Hell of a shot from Donato, who needed that after a rough start.

8:14: Nice forecheck from Heinen keeps the puck in the Habs zone, but his wrister is snagged out of the air by Price.
8:07: Second period is underway.
7:50: END FIRST: Bruins trail the Habs, 2-0. SOG in favor of Montreal, 9-7. Another slow start plagues Rask.
7:46: Krejci nearly cashes in, but Price turns it aside. Peca's penalty is over.
7:45: Grzelcyk plays the puck below the circle and sets up a great one-time look. Price bats the shot out of the air.
7:41: Bjork draws a penalty, and Boston heads to the power play. Peca off for a trip.
7:35: A couple of breakdowns leads to a couple of good looks for the Habs in the slot, leading to Max Domi's fifth goal of the season. 2-0 Montreal, with both goals coming 1:21 apart. Not the start Boston was looking for.
7:32: Habs goal. Brendan Gallagher spins off Acciari and fires one in from a tough angle that bounces past Rask. 1-0 Montreal with 10 minutes left in the half.
7:28: Max Domi nearly generates a Grade-A look on his own by dangling past Boston's second line. B's lead in SOG, 4-3, with 12:04 to go in the first
7:27: B's have now killed off 11 of 12 penalties at home.
7:24: B's kill it off. Carlo with 1:30 on that shift and good stuff from both Acciari and Kuraly.
7:22: Bruins to the PK. Pastrnak called for a slash.
7:20: Anders Bjork's play along the boards continues to be much, much better from last season.
7:15: Puck is dropped and we're underway.
7:14: Todd Angilly continues to crush national anthem duties. TD Garden has a great one.
7:07: Bergeron line gets the start, as expected. Moore-Grzelcyk is the starting D pair, while Rask starts in net.
6:47: One lineup shuffle — Ryan Donato is back up on the third line with Nordstrom and Bjork. Will be interesting to see if that benefits him after skating primarily on a checking line with Kuraly and Acciari.

PREGAME NOTES:
- Not much change expected in the Bruins’ lineup, with David Backes, Charlie McAvoy, Urho Vaakanainen and Kevan Miller all out. Miller is expected to be reevaluated in three weeks, while Vaakanainen is still in the concussion protocol. While Backes and McAvoy (upper-body injuries) are a bit more up in the air, both skated ahead of the team’s optional practice Saturday at Warrior Ice Arena. Miller, who is dealing with a hand injury, also skated.
- While Bruce Cassidy noted on Friday that Torey Krug (ankle) had a chance to make his season debut on Saturday, the puck-moving defenseman will sit out against the Habs, with his return likely penciled in for Tuesday against the Hurricanes. With Krug stil out, Jeremy Lauzon will suit up for his second career NHL game.
- Both Zdeno Chara and Chris Wagner did not participate in Boston’s practice on Friday, with Cassidy noting both players were off with maintenance days. Both will be back in the lineup tonight, with Wagner joining the fourth line.
- Tuukka Rask gets the start in net, looking to string together another strong start after Jaroslav Halak posted his second shutout of the season Thursday against the Flyers. In his career against Montreal, Rask is 10-15-3 with a .917 save percentage.
- Montreal has impressed so far to start the year, currently sitting in a wild-card spot with 12 points this season. Still, the Habs have had their share of troubles against Boston as of late, dropping six straight games to the Black and Gold.
- This is the first matchup of the season for the Bruins and Habs, with Boston coming up short in the regular season with a 279-351-103-9 franchise record against Montreal. This will also mark Claude Julien’s third game back at TD Garden since getting named as Montreal’s bench boss back in 2017.
- Max Domi, a new addition for the Habs this season, is on a five-game point streak and leads the team with 10 points through nine games played.
