Welcome to first and 10, a roundup of all the (mostly) Patriots-related news you need to start your Monday. Grab your coffee and let’s get to it.
After working through three games in 12 days, the Patriots had the weekend off, but they're back at it Monday morning, as preparation begins in earnest for what should be a really fun game against the Chiefs.
--With Mike Gillislee being let go by the Saints and the Patriots in need of running back depth -- and an open roster spot -- a reunion might be in order. Definitely worth keeping an eye on in the next few days.
A look at how some ex-Patriots did Sunday:
Dion Lewis (TEN): 48 yards from scrimmage (34 rushing, 14 receiving)
Logan Ryan (TEN): 5 tackles
Malcolm Butler (TEN): 2 tackles
Danny Amendola (MIA): 3 catches, 30 yards
Brandin Cooks (LAR): 0 catches (suffered a concussion in the first quarter)
Chandler Jones (ARI): 6 tackles, 1 sack, 2 tackles for loss, 2 quarterback hits, 1 pass defensed
Chris Long (PHI): 2 tackles, 1 quarterback hit
Jamie Collins (CLE): 12 tackles, 1 sack, 1 tackle for loss, 1 quarterback hit

3. After grinding through three games in 12 days, Belichick and the Patriots hit the pause button this weekend.
4. My NFL Notebook looked at James White as the team MVP through the first five games, the evolution and development of Jason McCourty and Danny Etling, a look at the endurance of Shaq Mason, updated penalty information ... and much more.

6. Even though the Patriots didn’t play this weekend, we’ve still got our usual Overreaction Monday Q&A set for today at 5 p.m. Get your questions in now, because it's going to be epic.
7. NFL Network analyst Brian Baldinger does some really cool video breakdown segments on Twitter. Over the weekend, he had some nice things to say about Sony Michel and the work of the New England offensive line in Thursday's win over the Colts.
8. Speaking of Michel, Austin Gayle of Pro Football Focus says it's the Patriots' run blocking -- not Michel's work on his own -- which is paving the way for his big performances the last two weeks. As we have said on numerous occasions, Michel has been impressive, but he needs to take the next step and show the ability to make something happen when the offensive line isn't able to get him any openings.
9. The PFF team takes one last look back at Patriots-Colts.
10. OddsShark has the Patriots as 3-point home favorites against the Chiefs.
