Two Atlanta goals, Montreal win puts Revs on the brink: Just as Montreal, which hosted Columbus, went into the half leading the Crew, 2-0, Atlanta United went up by a goal to nil on the Revolution. Atlanta’s 16-year-old prodigy defender George Bello, playing up after New England’s Wilfried Zahibo went into the referee’s book for a foul, blazed past a sleeping Brandon Bye and, with space around him, flicked the ball beyond Brad Knighton for his MLS account opener and to put the Five Stripes ahead, 1-0, after 16 minutes. It stayed that way until seven minutes into the second half when Providence College product Julian Gressel, on a nifty pass beyond Michael Mancienne, slotted home to double Atlanta’s lead.
