FOXBOROUGH — The Patriots did not practice on Monday in advance of Thursday’s game with the Colts. But the NFL, in its infinite wisdom, still makes teams that are playing on Thursday issue a “hypothetical” injury report nonetheless. As far as New England is concerned, tight end Rob Gronkowski was a DNP. He sustained what the team called an ankle injury late in Sunday’s win over the Dolphins.
Here’s the rest of the report:
Limited
DL Adam Butler (knee)
WR Josh Gordon (hamstring)
DL Geneo Grissom (ankle)
TE Jacob Hollister (chest)
LB Brandon King (foot)
LB Elandon Roberts (calf)
CB Eric Rowe (groin)
DT Danny Shelton (elbow)

Sounds like the earliest we'll get a chance to talk with returning wide receiver Julian Edelman will be after Thursday's game. But there were a few guys in the locker room on Monday who were happy to chat about what it'll mean to have Edelman back in uniform.
“We’ve played so much football together, I really have no doubt as to where he’s going to be at,” said quarterback Tom Brady. “He’s been a great player for our team. I think everyone is excited to have him back. Anytime you add great players, it’s going to help what we’re doing. We all welcome him back, and he’s excited and ready to go. Hopefully, he can go out and play great. Hopefully, we can all go out play great — we’re going to need it.”
"Julian and I have a very unique relationship. I love that guy and I'm glad that he's back. We're looking forward to attacking the week together," said special teams captain Matthew Slater, who lockers next to Edelman. "He's a key cog in what we do here. He's a true Patriot. He's really unique in the person that he is, the man that he is. Obviously, the player that he is."
"Julian Edelman, he's a great player, man," said receiver and returner Cordarrelle Patterson. "Everything he does on the field, it's good. He's good for everybody who plays on this team."
