Setting a season-high for most hits (22) in a nine-inning game and tying a season-high for most runs, the Red Sox shelled the Baltimore Orioles, 19-3 for their 16th win in 18 tries against the Orioles.
Boston scored multiple runs in six of their eight innings and totaled four homers, including two by Rafael Devers.
The game saw a couple of milestones reached, with Mookie Betts stealing a base to become the second player in franchise history to have 30 homers and 30 stolen bases. Xander Bogaerts, who doubled and homered for three RBI, giving him 100 RBI for the first time in his career.
David Price went five innings and allowed all three Baltimore runs to pick up his 16th win.
IN-GAME OBSERVATIONS
4:01 Devers strikes again, absolutely crushing a ball about 12-15 rows up into the right-field bleachers behind the home bullpen. That's two today and five homers in the last 10 games. He has six RBI today alone.
3:36 Rafael Devers smokes the ball into the bleachers, giving him four homers in his last 10 games. It also makes him the third player in franchise history to have a 20-homer season in his age 21 season. The others? Tony Conigliaro and Ted Williams.
3:25 Milestones all around today -- Xander Bogaerts homers into the center field bleachers, giving him another two RBI and reaching 100 for the season.
2:53 That's probably it for David Price, who labored in the second inning, allowing two homers, two walks and three runs. He threw 88 pitches and allowed three runs on six hits with three walks and six strikeouts. He wasn't particularly sharp in his final start of the year.
2:39 J.D. Martinez gives the Red Sox some additional breathing room, hammering a 2-and-0 fastball over everything with two aboard. That's homer No. 42 for Martinez, tying him with Dick Stuart for most homers by a Red Sox player in his first season with the club. It's also the 200th homer by the Red Sox this season after hitting just 158 last year, ranking them dead last in the American League.
1:55 Betts secures his 30th stolen base of the season, and becomes the second player in Red Sox history to become a 30-30 players -- 30 homers, 30 steals. Jacoby Ellsbury is the other.
1:41 Price being hit hard this inning, with two homers into the Monster Seats and another sharp single up the middle.
1:30 Rafael Devers clears the bases with an opposite-field double into the left field corner, giving him RBI in four of his last five games.
1:25 Ian Kinsler delivers a bloop single to snap an 0-for-17 slump, loading the bases and chasing Ryan Meisinger just six batters into the game.
1:21 Not much at stake in these two games other than padding some personal stats and achieving some milestones. Xander Bogaerts ropes a double just inside the third base bag, scoring two and lifting his RBI total to 98.

NEWS AND NOTES:
- The Red Sox have shut down Tyler Thornburg for the rest of the season. "There's no need to push him hard,'' said Alex Cora. "For us, we talked to him , we're happy with everything he did throughout the season and getting to the point that he was competing at this level. But in the last few, as far as command, it wasn't there. He wasn't able to bounce back, so we decided to stay away from him.'' Thornburg, of course, missed all of last year after undergoing thoracic outlet surgery. He came back in July and went 2-0 with a 5.63 in 25 appearances.
